The passage is south of Haapiti and can be seen from the road. A rather long wave with individual sections not connecting all the time.

East Northeast to North to Northwest

  • calm water 

East

  • Wind less or equal to 10 knots : slightly agitated to agitated

West to West North-West

  • Agitated water at the beginning of the wave, calm at the end

SWELLS - GOOD TO SURF

South-South-East to South South-West

  • Wave height in meters = (H1/3 in meters) x L x 1. For the calculation of the wave height, the coefficient "L" depends on the wavelength of the swell. Use 1 for short swell, 1,5 medium swell and 2 for long swell.
  • Wave height between 1 and 3 m good conditions. 

South-West

  • Wave height in meters = (H1/3 in meters) x L x 0.7
  • With a wave height between 1 and 3 m, the spot is good.
