"ROULOTTE"

You can find almost everywhere around Tahiti and mainly in Vaiete square at the sea front of Papeete, itinerant restaurants where you can have dinner with your family. Everyone  tastes can be satisfied: pizza, Chinese, pancake, fish or steak and chips, a good idea to eat in a typical Polynesian frame and at small prices. This year, with the renovation of the Vaiete place, every “roulotte” personalized its decoration to make true small restaurants of it.

Maybe you will be lucky to have dinner among ukulele music and Polynesian songs. A kiosk was indeed fitted out near “roulettes” to recreate this local and friendly atmosphere. In spite of the small prices, you may have dinner next to your lawyer or your doctor without being surprised. All the population meet there every evening and you can not come to the Polynesian Islands without trying. It is a meeting point between the 4 sides of the world’s cooking tradition. So, what would you fancy tonight? Chao Men, pizza, “poisson cru”, pancakes or cheese burger?
